AutoRek is an award winning global provider of financial management software. We specialise in the development and application of reconciliation, cash allocation, attestation, anti-money laundering and performance management solutions.
History
AutoRek is a product of API Software Ltd and was born in 1994 as information and data management consultancy providing services to mid market and enterprise organisations based on the Microsoft platform. Based in Glasgow, we were Scotland’s first Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Business Intelligence Services and remain a Gold Certified Partner today. The Microsoft Services business of API Software now trades under the ‘spin-out’ company Pro-Sapien Software Ltd.
The first deployment of AutoRek took place in 1998 in the days of mass privatisation and de-mutualisation. By working closely with a number of stockbrokers involved in these massive share sales, we discovered that existing manual reconciliation systems simply couldn’t cope with the volumes, short timescales and accuracy demands placed upon them.

Today, AutoRek is deployed globally. We remain headquartered in Glasgow with ancillary offices in Edinburgh and London. Our dedicated team of experts possess extensive experience in finance and technology. Our philosophy is built on our product functionality. As a result of this, we are currently able to reconcile over 800 million transactions in less than 30 minutes. This capability enables AutoRek to reconcile up to 99.8% of reconciliations, and typically offer a Return on Investment of 9 months, with up to 75% of manpower on reconciliations saved.
Although created as a dedicated reconciliation tool, AutoRek is being deployed to assist issues including automating the cash application process, compliance with client money and AML, and improving financial close.
