Gordon McHarg - Managing Director
Gordon graduated in Computing Science and Statistics before joining BT. He founded API Software Limited in 1994 and was instrumental in developing AutoRek around the time of CREST being implemented in the UK. His client experience is extensive and includes overseas work for IBM in the US, Renaissance Capital in Russia and several global clients including Barclays, JP Morgan and BUPA. Gordon has led the proposition development work on VanguARd and ReKognize. His interests include sport (especially football and equestrian) and family time.
Steve Morosi - Operations Director
Steve, a graduate in Computing Science and Statistics, is a founding director in API with extensive experience of complex delivery of programmes for long standing clients of AutoRek from MAN Group in the hedge fund industry to CIGNA in private medical insurance. Steve's international work has included work in Spain and Ireland among others and he has developed many complex solutions and many product innovations along the way. Steve is a keen traveller and follower of stock markets and investments.
George Urquhart - Technical Director
George is a graduate of Computing Science and Statistics who began his career in Unisys doing complex data projects before joining a major pensions provider supporting actuarial calculations on new business. With over 15 years' experience in reconciliations programmes as a founder director in API he has helped clients such as Lloyds, RBS, CIGNA, RWE and FNZ (among many others). George has led AutoRek projects in several countries including Switzerland and Ireland. George's interests include fine wine, travel and Latin American dance.
Jim Muir - Finance Director
Jim is a former Head of Operations of a major stockbroker, a Securities Institute Prize-winner for Operations Management and has served on the board as Operations Director of a Private Client Investment Manager. A qualified Chartered Accountant, he was instrumental in the design of AutoRek for its first ever stock broking client and, within KPMG Financial Sector Consulting, led many projects to streamline back office costs for Private Client Stockbrokers and Investment Managers using AutoRek.
Ken Beattie - Non Executive Advisor to the Board
With a background as a leading salesman at Hewlett Packard for six years, Ken co-founded Initiative Software Ltd in 1990 and its US subsidiary Syntelate Corp. As CEO, he was responsible for overall Company growth and sales strategy which resulted in Initiative being the UK's leading supplier of CRM software to government agencies involved in economic development in the UK. He currently holds a number of non-executive positions in the Scottish business IT sector. Ken has an honours degree in Economics and postgraduate diploma in Marketing.
