Jim Muir joins API as Board Director

API Software, one of Scotland's top 5 rated software companies, is delighted to announce the appointment of Jim Muir to the board.

Muir, who trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick in Glasgow, has held board positions in Financial Services businesses but in the last 10 years has been a Financial Sector Management Consultant with KPMG and more recently Navigant in London.

API provides financial management software and bespoke software consulting services to a variety of clients including HBoS, Lloyds, Aggreko and Hymans.

Speaking of his new appointment Muir said:

"I have been a huge fan of API Software Ltd since they built their flagship product, AutoRek - a financial management system that automates the reconciliations process for clients such as stockbrokers, banks, car leasing businesses and credit card companies. So much so, in fact, in my consulting career I told many clients about them. It made great sense for me to come on board to build upon the phenomenal growth the business has seen in the past 3 years. I am truly very excited."
